Academic Projects

Tell Me About the Other Side

For her senior capstone project at Miami University, Eleanor combined her love for theatre, history, dramaturgy, and activism for the creation of an original show called Tell Me About the Other Side. Created through an intensive research process, and incorporating interviews from survivors, the piece centers around the stories of women in genocide and post-conflict democracies. Tell Me About the Other Side premiered at Miami University in February 2021.

Roe, Rage, and Runaways: An Examination of Reproductive Rights in Film and Television

For her MFA thesis at Savannah College of Art and Design, Eleanor wrote an academic research paper examining the portrayal of reproductive rights in film and television, looking at such pieces as Dirty Dancing, Unpregnant, and Plan B. She then wrote an accompanying script, The Only Perfect Woman, which looks at the cycles of abuse and the legislation of women’s bodies.
